RIP shirts

So, this evening I did the first batch of laundry in the shiny new washer-dryer in my shiny new kitchen. It killed two of my favourite T-shirts. The design on the Kenya one had some how got all fused together, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror one started crumbling off. I hope this is just me picking the wrong program and won't be a recurring feature...

That's too bad. My WDW are also out of commission - one by dryer eons ago, and the other one is simply far too big now...
I suspect it may be the drying part that did for my shirts - it seemed to be much hotter than the old one (although the 60°C wash which should have been a 40°C one probably didn't help). Losing Disney shirts is sad, but if it's because you're much to small for it, then that's a positive result!

The amusing thing is that all my Disney shirts from 2003 are still surviving despite one or two washes a month for nearly three years, whereas the ToT one didn't survive three months...
Er, yeah. Don't put screenprinted t-shirts in the tumble dryer.
The old one never caused any problems</petulant>

Yah, replacing Kenya is not a problem, although 'twill cost money, which makes me miffed. Re-riding the Tower of OMG SQUEE is really not going to be a hardship for me. And yes, I'm very glad that the "Pillaging since..." T-shirt wasn't in there (the other pirates one was and did survive).
Erm, yeah, you're not supposed to tumbledry T-shirts with large prints on the front - the same has happened to some of Eldest's pyjama tops (which unfortunately were LOTR ones I can't replace)
Maybe I've been lucky, but both the shirts have been through several cycles in the old washer and dryer without any ill effects. I just want a magic programme where I can put anything in and it'll come out clean and dry...
