Animal Hospital

So, I just performed open heart surgery on a mouse. Thanks to the power of duct tape, a bad case of middlebuttonnoclickitis has been rectified, and my beloved MX1000 has made a full recovery. Yes I know it has seven other clickable buttons, but I need them all!

Seven buttons? That's very geeky impressive. :)
It was indeed phrased in an attempt to elicit just that reaction :-D

Yup, you can never have too many of them. Saves having to touch the keyboard.
If it has seven buttons aside from the middle one, that gives a total of eight, which doesn't immediately lend itself to a middle button in the singular...

Just, y'know, an observation :-)
Actually, as only five of those are on the top of the mouse, it lends itself very neatly to a middle button (the other three are thumb buttons).
OK, now you're just showing off. ;-) I thought I was doing well when I caught up to your mouse (that I long admired from afar!) with left, middle-wheel, right and two thumb buttons. Where are the other two top buttons, please, and what do you use them for in practice?
OK, on the top we have left (click), right (context menu) and middle wheel (open in new tab). There's also a rocker which gives you buttons in front of and behind the wheel (page up and down). The side has forward and backward with "app switch" inbetween (mapped to trigger Exposé).

Mappings under Windows are somewhat different - mostly so that I can use all the buttons within games...
