Userpics Meme

Went into town today and met up with addedentry and huskyteer who were in town for the day. Thanks to the unexpectedly good weather, we were able to grab sandwiches from the covered market and picnic in Christ Church meadow. After lunch we fought our way past the gaggle of lobbyists to vote in the election of a new chancellor for Oxford University. This noble duty completed, we retired to a pub for the rest of the afternoon for general chatting and copious quantities of cider.

	Me in an untied black bow tie This is the only reason for having a proper bow tie rather than a pre-tied one - the fact that you can let it down later in the evening. I'm reliably informed that this makes me look incredibly sexy.
	Legoland Dinosaur This is a photo from Legoland Windsor, a recreation of a Lego model of a dinosaur, but this version is perhaps 20 feet tall, and the 'bricks' that make it up are themselves made of many normal sized Lego pieces.
	Dinwiddy Snurdle A strange woolen critter I've had for many years, named (for reasons long forgotten) after a character from the kids TV show Galloping Galaxies.

	Me in Réunion This is from me striking a silly pose at the top of the Col des Bœufs (altitude 2,000m) on the small French island of Réunion - conveniently located in the Indian Ocean - where I had a fantastic holiday in 2002.
