Went into town today and met up with addedentry and huskyteer who were in town for the day. Thanks to the unexpectedly good weather, we were able to grab sandwiches from the covered market and picnic in Christ Church meadow. After lunch we fought our way past the gaggle of lobbyists to vote in the election of a new chancellor for Oxford University. This noble duty completed, we retired to a pub for the rest of the afternoon for general chatting and copious quantities of cider.

Amy the Squirrel
The most famous of Eric Schwartz's cartoon creations back in the heyday of the Amiga. See her history.
Me in an untied black bow tie
This is the only reason for having a proper bow tie rather than a pre-tied one - the fact that you can let it down later in the evening. I'm reliably informed that this makes me look incredibly sexy.
Legoland Dinosaur
This is a photo from Legoland Windsor, a recreation of a Lego model of a dinosaur, but this version is perhaps 20 feet tall, and the 'bricks' that make it up are themselves made of many normal sized Lego pieces.
Dinwiddy Snurdle
A strange woolen critter I've had for many years, named (for reasons long forgotten) after a character from the kids TV show Galloping Galaxies.
Me at matriculation
From my matriculation photo, back when I first came up to Oxford in 1994.
Microsoft sponsers a harvest mouse
This is from a photo I took of a plaque at London Zoo, thanking Microsoft (very large and rich corporation) for sponsoring a harvest mouse (the smallest mammal in the zoo). I found it very amusing
M00se
My infamous chocolate mousse, as made at the first Mact00bage.
My inititals
My initials, penned by me and scanned into the computer. Just because. This is my default userpic on account of its total blandness.
Me in Réunion
This is from me striking a silly pose at the top of the Col des Bœufs (altitude 2,000m) on the small French island of Réunion - conveniently located in the Indian Ocean - where I had a fantastic holiday in 2002.
Sabrina the Skunk
Star of the online comic strip Sabrina Online, penned by the talented Eric Schwartz.
South Mark
My contribution to the South Park style userpics meme, customised with the slogan from one of my many T-shirts.
Me at a Mexican restaurant in Chicago
This photo was taken during my first visit to hermorrine.
Vampire Me
This is me, posing as a vampire (from vamp_zorac).
Young me
This photo of me dates from the mid-eighties. Don't I look cute ;-)
Zombie Me
This is me, posing as a Zombie (from zombie_zorac).
Zorac, my main PC
Zorac is my main PC, named after the fictional computer from James P. Hogan's Giants Trilogy.
Zorak
A character from the cartoon series Space Ghost who has a name somewhat similar to my LJ name.

More disturbing yankees can be found at the Project for the New American Century, an article from the Guardian about it can be found on George Monbiot's website.

Y'all voted for Sandi, didn't you? Good, good.

When you do use the Amy icon rather than the Sabrina icon and when do you use the Sabrina one rather than the Amy one - any deliberate pattern to it?
We did, yes. As for icons, I use the Sabrina one for Sabrina Online related stuff and the Amy one for other ES-related stuff. Also I sometimes use one of them at random if I feel like it (or a comment requires some cleavage ;-)
