Well, it seems that Dubya (read his Very Secret Diary, thanks to 
cygnusfap) has started the final countdown and that in 36 hours time we'll be at war with Iraq. How delightful.
Meanwhile, closer to home, the government is showing serious cracks with several ministers and others resigning in protest. Most noteworthy is Robin Cook's resignation speech which makes excellent reading. On the flip side is Claire Short, who has surely lost all credibility after U-turning on her announcement that she would resign.
