Had my aunt and one of her friends to stay last night - which was nice, as they cooked for me. A nice big roast lamb dinner - yum. Not something that really makes sense to do just for one, but it is nice, plus I have left over enough to last me the rest of the week. And then we watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show, although I didn’t do the time warp.
The barebone system for my new office PC arrived today - very dinky. Memory also arrived and disks are being transplanted from my old system. Alas, the CPU has not yet arrived, so the pretty box is just sitting on my desk tormenting me...
OK, have done some more playing around with the Xbox and its lock-ups. Have had one in the menu system (meh). Project Gotham Racing reliably falls over within 1-3 races of booting. Dead or Alive 3 was falling over within a few fights when using Kasumi with default hair and costume. Changing the hair or using a different character seemed to cure this, although I've had a couple of lock-ups since. Halo and Buffy the Vampire Slayer have been completely stable. If anyone has an Xbox and would care to comment on their experiences, I'd be interested to hear from you.

Hugely amused that you could watch the RHPS with someone from a generation above, but I've always been somewhat jealous of your relationship with your family and the elder members thereof.
Is it easy to get to the innards of your new office PC? Mr. Walton fairly fisted his iCube when I was up there last, though it needed a particularly proctological Torx screwdriver to get inside.

The shuttle has plenty of thumbscrews, so looks easy enough to get into. Haven't done any construction work yet as still no CPU :-( Oh, and
