Exciting Photo of the Day

Last night's compsoc talk by Apple was pretty interesting, a fair amount of stuff I already knew, but some details on the internals of OS X (for example, how Rendezvous works). Plus there was a look at the developer tools which I've only played with a little - it certainly clarified a few things that I hadn't quite "got" from going through one of the tutorials.

I managed to get the new camera working without too much difficulty - just a case of tracking down some XP drivers. Unfortunately, I managed to lose the LJ article I was working on when it got to the inevitable reboot. *sigh* I'll have to try that again at the weekend. Anyway, exciting sample photo: My desk in the office.

    Things to do this evening:
  1. Vote - although I stupidly left my polling card at home this morning. Gah. Will be voting LibDem, not least because he was the only candidate who put any effort into campaigning - if the others can't be bothered to put any work into getting/keeping the job, how likely are they to put any effort into doing it?
  2. Go to the cinema to see X2.
  3. Watch the latest episode of Angel (assuming eMule has finished downloading it).
  4. Write killer app on iBook.

Your desk is messier than mine. :P Maybe if you're lucky you can come and see my desk and my very cool signed UF.org poster and my HP stuff and my Dust Puppy and my SV stuff and the picture of my boyfriend... oh wait, you can just look in the mirror to see him. >:D<

Have fun at X2 - I heard this morning on the radio that the first scene is just riveting. Waaah, I want to go and see it this weekend but I can't. :/ Anyway, enjoy and I'll talk to you later tonight. *mwah*

Too much stuff, too little space, that's my excuse. Besides if anyone gets narky about it, there;s that fine collection of foam balls to throw. Not to mention the Nerf arsenal under the desk and the trio of lightsabers behind the bin...

And we're not just talking balls, I've got the full on fires-20-foam-darts-in-3-seconds machine gun. Most of the company has been attacked with it at some point, although I don't think anyone's got the MD yet.

Nope, it's at 8:15 pm (don't get off work in time for earlier showings) - it's on general release at normal show times from today in the UK. I may post some sort of review when I get home (certainly spoiler free).

As far as reviews, I'm just looking for whether or not it lives up to the hype. I trust your opinion more than critics.

Well, seing as you get The Matrix Reloaded 8 days before we do, I think it's only fair that we get a small bit of recompense. Be warned that I am EasilyPleased(tm), so don't trust any review too far...
