Something to post about

A few random thoughts for today:
  1. Am part-way through Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Another 500 pages to get through before Saturday. Anyone posting uncut OotP spoilers will be disemboweled with a rusty spork.
  2. The Matrix Reloaded gets its UK IMAX release on 4th July. You know you want to.
  3. The latest S2 code has gone live, allowing me to port my style across from my test journal, but am a perfectionist, so much tweaking still to be done.
  4. Gacked from marysia, Harry Potter in the style of musical Buffy: Once More, With Cursing! - very funny, even if the scanning and rhyming is a little off in places (not that I could do any better)
  5. Really should post Punt00bage update, but many of you already have, so apathy is winning at the moment...
That is all.

2. I should see about going to it in IMAX now that I've seen the first and Animatrix with you.

5. Your perspective is wanted and needed.

Also, I still adore the icon. *giggles*
2. I like (in the sense of am amused by, rather than actively prefer) the fact that it's £11.50 to go and see The Matrix Reloaded at the IMAX cinema in London compared to £7.50 for anything else. Given that I can see it for a shade under £3 if I can be bothered to get up and go to the local cinema in town before noon, is the big screen really worth almost-quadrupling the price?

I'm actually prepared to believe that it could be, you know...
Well, as the "anything else" usually runs at 40-45 minutes and tops out at 61, as compared to 138 minutes for TMR, it's not bad value. You'd probably pay a tenner to see it in central London (certainly at Leicester Square) and I'd have to pay £5.70 to see it again in Oxford, so for me it's a mere doubling of the price.

::snort:: So far I have been able to remain spoiler-free. Good luck to you that is stays like that till Saturday! And wooooo I can't wait for OotP!!
I also have been fortunate thus far (go paranoia!), and will for example be taping rather than watching the interview with JKR tonight...

Less than 31 hours to go. Squeeee!
I saw you finished it. I haven't yet, but am about three quarters through it. ::shivers:: I don't want to know who dies. ::wails::
