Yup, that would be iTunes - and the iTunes Music Store - for Windows. MusicMatch, WinAmp et al: read it and weep. There are also updates and a bunch of new accessories for the iPod.

I suspect that that's more in aid of encoding rather than playing music. Windows Media Player also reccomends 500MHz. The joy of bloat...

I must disagree, too.

All I see on that page is a load of promotional language for the iTunes store. There is only one feature listed that would make me download it and that would be the AAC playback. You know, if I really wanted to play AAC audio. And if I didn't already have QT 6.4 installed.

Also, as Simon pointed out, the minimum hardware requirements are quite ridiculous. But we already knew that from Quicktime.

Don't get me wrong. I like Apple for many reasons. Their windows apps are not one of them, though.
