Ice-cream rec' of the day

If I was evil, I would simply post a strong recommendation to all the Oxford folk that they pop down to G&D's and try out the Devil's Chocolate ice-cream.
If I was evil.

So, while I was in town this afternoon, I went to get some ice-cream before I went home. As is my wont, I went for one of the petition flavours, the aforementioned Devil's Chocolate, which looked like chocolate ice-cream with bits of cherry in, and also some Golden Secret (vanilla with Crunchie bits). The latter of these was on top, so I went through that first, catching a few scrapings of the other. This is when I began to notice a strange sensation in my mouth. A couple of bites into the Devil's Chocolate, I realised that they're not bits of cherry. They're bits of chilli. The coldness of the ice-cream does counteract the full heat of the chilli. As long as you keep eating it - which means more chilli. When it ran out. however, it was a brisk walk to the drinks chiller...

though all would have been well if the vanilla had been on the bottom, i am guessing.
