T00bs. Lots of T00bs.

Last weekend saw another successful Oxford T00bage.

Friday: We met up in Hollywood Cocktails from 5pm onwards as the T00bs began to congregate from around the country. The original plan was to leave at around 7, but delayed trains and coaches meant that we ended up staying for another couple of hours (and another couple of cocktails). Special recommendations: Cinnamon Daiquiri (however you pronounce it) and the Raspberry Tart. The Bloody Mary was nice, if a little hot for my taste. After that, we decamped back to the T00blerone and grabbed food from the chippy downstairs. The rest of the evening was general t00bery, discussion of slash, etc. The numbers gently dropped as the night went on, and those of us left headed to bed at around 2 (one individual, who was using Trivial Pursuits as a pillow took a little persuasion).

Saturday: The original schedule had us all meeting up for Phillip Pullman's book signing at 10:30. Alas, when I received malachan's text "We are 10 mins away!", my response was "We are all still in bed." Oops. In the end, it was around 12:30 by the time the last sleepyhead was roused, and another hour or so before we finally made it to the Eagle and Child to meet the rest of the numerically increased t00bs for lunch. Alas, the food was up (or, rather, down) to their usual standards, and the decision was made to strike the pub off the list of venues for future t00bages and find somewhere with better food instead. After lunch, many of us came back to the T00blerone to refresh ourselves on The Matrix Reloaded in preparations of the evening's viewing. Our heckling was loud, and included snores from a first-time viewer ;-) Dinner continued the food patter of the day, as out attempts to get a table for 16 at Bella Pasta were all but met with laughter. In the end, we were reduced to eating at Yates' - only to have some of our number ejected on the grounds of insufficient age. Finally, it was time to queue up for Matrix Teh Crap (review later) which we heckled rather more quietly, so as not to annoy the rest of the moviegoers. After that, most of us headed back to the T00blerone for another night of t00bery, including gratuitous slagging off of the film, 'Jesus goes to Hogwarts' fic and the like. Bed at around 3.

Sunday: Another late start, and the poor folks with 24 hour passes missed out on their ride into town by all of about a minute. Once again, we had difficulties finding somewhere to eat, but this time we lucked out at Zizzi, where we had the best food of the weekend - and an intense discussion of religion as fandoms and Chateau T00bage. After lunch, it was time for us to head our separate ways. So, until next time...

I would guess: New Zealand, Wales, Julius Caesar, Tinkerbell, butterflies and foil.

I am not sure about the first or the last. The last is annoying because I feel I should know it, not least because leiabelle fenced (and fences?) prodigiously.

Please correct me!
Bats rather than butterflies, methinks. I'd agree with you on the rest.
Indeed so.
It wasn't Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell was too busy being a h0r at that stage of the story.

I am modifying my other answer to 'Aucklandia'. Everything else stands.
